Redline Distribution LLC is a professional CPG B2B distribution company specializing in efficient and reliable supply chain solutions. We are seeking an experienced International and Domestic Logistics Coordinator to manage incoming international shipments and coordinate the forwarding of goods to domestic customers. This role ensures cost-effective transportation, timely deliveries, and compliance with all relevant trade laws and regulations. The position requires close collaboration with suppliers, freight brokers, third-party logistics (3PL) providers, and internal teams to streamline the logistics process from origin to final destination.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipment Coordination
• Manage incoming international shipments across air, sea, and land, ensuring timely arrival at ports or facilities.
• Track and monitor shipment progress to ensure on-time delivery, resolving issues or delays.
• Coordinate the domestic forwarding of goods to customers, working closely with freight brokers and 3PL providers.
• Communicate delivery schedules with suppliers, internal teams, and customers to ensure accurate timelines.
Documentation
• Prepare and review shipping documentation for international imports, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and packing lists.
• Ensure all documentation complies with international shipping regulations, U.S. Customs requirements, and company policies.
• Maintain communication with customs brokers to ensure timely customs clearance and proper handling of documentation.
Customs and Compliance
• Ensure all incoming shipments comply with U.S. Customs, import control laws, and trade agreements.
• Stay updated on tariffs, duties, and taxes, ensuring accurate cost estimation and compliance.
• Resolve customs clearance issues with brokers and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Vendor and Partner Management
• Collaborate with freight brokers, carriers, and 3PL providers to arrange domestic transportation and negotiate rates and schedules.
• Maintain strong relationships with logistics partners to ensure reliable and efficient service.
• Coordinate with 3PLs for inventory management and final delivery to customers.
Cost Management
• Optimize import and domestic forwarding routes to minimize costs and improve efficiency.
• Review and approve invoices from shipping vendors, ensuring cost accuracy and alignment with agreed-upon rates.
Inventory and Record Keeping
• Maintain detailed records of incoming shipments, including tracking information, customs documentation, and delivery receipts.
• Work with internal teams and 3PLs to track the flow of goods in transit and address delays or discrepancies.
Problem Solving
• Address and resolve issues related to shipment delays, damages, or discrepancies promptly.
• Collaborate with customer service and internal teams to address customer inquiries related to incoming shipments and domestic forwarding.
Qualifications Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, International Business, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
• 2-5 years of experience in international logistics, shipping, and documentation.
• Familiarity with import regulations, U.S. Customs clearance, and domestic transportation.
• Proficiency in logistics and inventory management software such as Magaya and ERP systems like Odoo.
• Knowledge of Incoterms and letters of credit.
• Knowledge of the Harmonized System (HS) of Tariff Codes.
• Familiarity with 3PL operations and domestic freight management.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Fluent in English (Spanish proficiency is a plus).
